Custom websites for small practices and businesses.
Website design and development from scratch — fast, secure, and yours to edit. We handle the design, the code, the domain and the launch, and leave you a handbook written in plain English.
A small web design studio in New Jersey, working with businesses and private practices across the United States.
Everything your site needs.
Design and build
Every page your business actually needs, written and laid out to be read — each on its own address so any page can be linked, shared, or bookmarked directly.
An editor you can use
Change your own words, photos, prices, and documents in a plain visual editor and press Publish. Live in about a minute. No developer, no invoice, no waiting.
Forms that go somewhere useful
Enquiries land in a database you can work from — new this week, contacted, closed — instead of an inbox where a new customer sits beneath a newsletter.
Genuinely good on a phone
Most of your visitors are on a phone. We test on real mobile browsers before launch, not by shrinking a desktop window and hoping for the best.
Security done properly
Credentials stay server-side, never in the page. Validation, origin checks, and spam traps on every form.
Fast, and findable
Built to load quickly, with the titles, descriptions, sitemap, and structure search engines need. No page-builder bloat loading before your headline does.
Domain, hosting, and launch
We handle the domain, the DNS, and the cutover — including the parts where getting it wrong silently kills your email. Every previous version stays restorable.
A handbook, written for you
Two halves: one in plain English for you, one technical for whoever touches the code next.
Whatever it has to connect to
Booking, payments, a CRM, a mailing list, an existing database. Wired server-side and tested, not bolted on with a plugin and hoped over.
We've shipped more than just websites.
Client sites are what we sell. They sit on top of more than a decade of technical knowledge and experience: a published iOS app, a live map with its own API, a game, an audio plugin. That's why the hard parts of a website don't frighten us.
Antioch Counseling
ClientA multi-page site the owner edits herself, with three enquiry forms routed through a server-side endpoint and a handbook written for a non-technical owner.
Level One Game Store
ClientEvents, a rotating banner, and contact submissions all managed by the shop's own team, reading and writing through endpoints rather than from the browser.
Lantern
On the App StoreA daily-reading app, released and downloadable, with subscription billing wired end to end.
Why us?
Built, not assembled
Every site is written from scratch. There is no theme to outgrow and no stack of plugins to keep updated, each one a thing that can break the site on its own schedule. Nothing is on the page because a template put it there, and there is nothing extra to renew.
You own all of it
The domain, the content, the code, and the data. The domain is registered in your name and you pay its yearly renewal directly, so nothing is held on your behalf. If we stop working together you keep everything and it keeps running.
We write everything down
Every site gets a handbook split in two: one half readable with no technical knowledge, one half for any developer who touches it later. Most builders leave you dependent on them. We'd rather leave you independent.
Nothing ships unverified
We test on real mobile browsers rather than by shrinking a desktop window.
How it works.
Initial conversation
About half an hour, free. What your business does, who you need to reach, and what the site has to do. If we're not the right fit for the job, we'll say so on the call.
First draft
We write the first version of your pages from whatever you already have. You react to something real instead of filling in a blank page, which takes far less of your time.
Build and review
We build the real site and send you a private link. You review it in your own time, on your phone or anywhere else, and send notes back.
Launch
The site goes live on your domain. We walk you through the editor once and hand over the handbook, so you can change what you want, when you want.
What it costs
Every site is a different size of job. A few pages with one contact form is not the same work as twenty pages with bookings and payments, so we quote each one against what it actually involves.
What moves the number:
- How many pages, and how much of it is unique rather than repeated
- Whether you're starting fresh or moving off an existing site
- What it has to connect to — forms, bookings, payments, a mailing list
- Whether you have your own copy, or want us to draft it
- Whether you want us on call afterwards, or you'd rather run it yourself
Two things we commit to. You get one fixed figure for the whole build before we start, and beyond the domain renewal there is no monthly fee to keep the site online once it is live.
Some features need third-party tools — booking, payments, mailing lists. We'll look for a free option first, but one isn't always available, and a paid service sometimes is the right answer. Anything like that comes up in the first conversation, and nothing gets set up without your approval.
Tell us about your business and we'll come back with a number.
Common questions.
Why isn't there a price on this page?
Because the work varies enough that any number we published would be wrong for most people reading it. What we can tell you is how pricing works: one fixed figure for the whole build, agreed before we start. Ask, and you'll have a real number within a day of the first conversation.
Can I really update it myself?
Yes. Words, photos, prices and documents go through a visual editor. You press Publish and the site updates in about a minute.
We keep hold of the underlying structure, because that is where a site actually breaks.
What if I already have a website?
Usually the easier case. We've migrated a business off an existing platform before — kept the writing that worked, rebuilt the rest, and moved it across. Your address stays the same and your existing links keep working.
How long does it take?
Weeks rather than months for a standard business site. The timeline depends mostly on how quickly you can react to drafts. You get a forecasted activation date after you agree to the quote.
Do you do anything besides websites?
Websites are what we sell, but they aren't the limit. We've built an iOS app with working subscription billing, a web app with its own API on its own server, a game, and a C++ audio plugin. If your site needs something unusual attached to it, ask.
Is this a side project for you?
Everything here was built alongside full-time work in healthcare technology. That means we take on work we know we can deliver.
Let's talk about your website.
Thirty minutes, no cost. Tell us what your business does and what you need the site to do, and we'll tell you whether we can help. We are a website designer based in New Jersey and work with clients anywhere in the US.
